A FLUID FOR MAMMALIAN SPERM-SUSPENSIONS

John R. Baker 1

1 Department of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy, Oxford

A buffered glucose-saline fluid is described, designed to keep mammalian sperms at maximum activity for a maximum length of time at the temperature of the body. Sperms from the epididymis are suspended in this fluid in small uncorked test-tubes in a damp chamber maintained at 37°C.
