S. Dworkin 1, S. L. Seymour 1, and G. F. Sutherland 1

1 The Laboratory of Physiology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada

1. A simple conditioned reflex method for testing hearing in cats is described. This involves an alimentary motor reaction.

2. With the procedure and apparatus described it is possible to explore the hearing range in one month.

3. Intensity-frequency curves for two cats are given.

We wish to acknowledge with sincere thanks our indebtedness to the Research Bureau of the American Otological Society for financial assistance in this work.
